Knitting for sharing

I have been an avid knitter, the most difficult project I ever attempted was a Kafke design, but after many tries I completed the sweater.
Recently I have been downsizing my projects and started knitting baby clothes, outfits etc etc, my passion is to set up a group of Men to knit for charity, I live in TORONTO , and the winters are cold and the need for toques, mittens, scarves, legwarmers is great, I am associated with the 519 Community Centre which might be a central place to meet, as well they have a great distribution centre to hand out these knitted items
The group would consist of men who want to learn how to knit, from the learners to the experts, they idea is to get together basically "Bitch and Stitch"
Presently I am working on an all garter stitch outfit for a baby, this is one of those oldfashioned patterns, were the sleeve gets knitted in, thus limiting the amount of assembling the piece as sewing is not my forte.
So, if you feel you might want to learn how to knit, in a friendly "non attitude" little structured, environment, please drop me a line, looking forward to hearing from you with your thoughts and ideas
